Tomorrow night is Halloween ... Eeek! It's a terrifying prospect to be sure. I'm barely coping with my sense of impending doom.
What will we do? Who will protect us? Piper Grey ... that's who. Or hooo, if you prefer.
Yeah, David Piper and Earl Grey, the wonderful acoustic duo is playing at Kulak's Woodshed Tomorrow night. Their new record, "Apples", is one of the best things I've heard all year. Full of great songs and their terrific singing and guitar playing. But it's more than that. It's a real ALBUM: beautifully crafted and arranged. It brings to mind Crosby Stills and Nash with it's songs that flow through dfferent sections, at once surprising and completely natural. We're all really proud of their accomplishment.
Oh, and I am sharing the bill with them. Starting promptly at 8 with Lisa Turner, and Greg Krueger joining me.
