Thanksgiving centerpieces to benefit Hathaway-Sycamores

Los Altos Auxiliary, the La Cañada Flintridge-based philanthropic organization, will create and deliver Thanksgiving centerpieces in a fundraising effort to benefit the children of the Hathaway-Sycamores' El Nido Campus in Altadena.

This year, Los Altos is offering two different styles to choose from. They are created in a new, smaller, more versatile size, perfect on your table or as a hostess gift. The contemporary arrangement, done in reds, is approximately 12”wide by 8”high. The traditional basket style, in sunny yellows, is approximately 16”wide and 12” high.

The centerpieces are hand crafted by members of Los Altos Auxiliary and will be delivered to your door on Nov. 24th, just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday.

The cost to purchase a centerpiece is $50 each, with all proceeds used to enhance the residential, community outreach and educational programs of the children in the care of Hathaway-Sycamores Child and Family Services. Centerpieces can be ordered by contacting Maureen Railsback at (818) 952-7665 or by email to mjrailsback@yahoo.com Supply is limited so ordering early is recommended.

Centerpieces can be delivered to La Canada, Altadena, South Pasadena, San Marino, Glendale, and La Crescenta neighborhoods. The order deadline is Friday, Nov. 10th.

With a 51-year history in volunteerism and fundraising in support of children, Los Altos Auxiliary has been affiliated with the Hathaway-Sycamores for the past 16 years. At the El Nido residential campus in Altadena, boys receive critical mental health services while living in an environment that fosters healing and individual growth.

Over the years Los Altos Auxiliary has supported the boys by helping fund a children’s library, computer stations, and an art center. They have also been able to provide a yearly carnival, pizza and bingo parties and hand made throws for each boy living at the El Nido campus, plus Target gift cards at Christmas time and much more.
