Jive Mother Mary release new album

Precious few up-and-coming rockers nowadays seem to have studied the recordings of such vintage hard blues rockers as Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. But Jive Mother Mary is not your average up-and-coming rock band. Hailing from Alamance County, North Carolina, the group - which consists of Mason Keck (guitar and lead vocals), Nathan Coe (bass and vocals), Seth “Fluff” Aldridge (drums) - have just released their full-length debut, ‘All Fall Down.’ Recorded and produced in Raleigh by John Custer (Cry Of Love, COC, Dag) - who first met and recorded the band’s first self titled EP at the end of 2007 - the album is sure to catch the attention of rock fans worldwide, as evidenced by such standout tracks as “Save Me,” “Out of Love,” “Let Me In,” and “All Fall Down” (all of which are available for streaming on the band’s Myspace page).

“I feel the album is different from a lot of others,” explains Keck, “Mainly for the fact that it manages to integrate both new and old sounds, and many of the songs could easily cross from the cliche label of ‘classic rock’ to something new and exciting. Also the many layers that are in the album makes for a fun listen.”

Adds Coe - “The recording experience was great, especially working with John Custer. I feel like the new album is more of the sound we were trying to pursue. It’s still ‘in your face rock-n-roll,’ but with our own little twist to it.”

Jive Mother Mary originally formed when all of its members were only 14 years old. Fast forward three years, and the group (which is still in high school) has played over 150 shows - in addition to giving back to the local community by playing shows for local charities.

So far, 2009 has seen Jive Mother Mary heighten their profile via syndicated radio marketing, regional radio in the Southeast, and tour stops with Easy Rider Magazine in several markets.

Along with their own headline shows, JMM will soon be sharing events with well known artists as they have in the past (David Allen Coe, Leon Russell, Jackyl, Dokken, The Black Crowes, The Wailers).

"We have matured a great bit over the past year,” says Alrdridge. “We can just read each other onstage without even looking. We are so use to each others playing we can just play off of one another and that makes for a really fun live show."

The group has played consistently throughout 2009, and will continue to do so in the coming months - catch this fast-rising band now!
