Community Feedback Day
Wednesday, September 2, 12- 5 pm
Pasadena Museum of History,
470 W. Walnut St., Pasadena 91103
Free Admission – Videotaped Interviews – Refreshments
The public is invited to view the exhibition Family Stories: Sharing a Community’s Legacy free of charge on Wednesday, September 2, from 12-5 pm, and share your comments with us.
Videographers will be interviewing select visitors to document the exhibition’s impact on individuals. Museum staff, docents, and some members of the featured families will also be on hand to answer questions and obtain community feedback. West San Gabriel Valley residents, business owners/employees, and students of all ages are welcome.
The interviews will be edited into a short film that will serve as a kickoff to a panel discussion moderated by Larry Wilson, Pasadena Star News Public Editor, at the culmination of a free Community Celebration on Sunday, October 11, at the Museum.
The groundbreaking exhibition Family Stories: Sharing a Community’s Legacy features the personal, multi-generational chronicles of six longtime Pasadena families. The stories of the Duncan, Gertmenian, Lowe, Stevenson, Kawai, and Mejia families shed light on the experiences of our African-American, Armenian-American, Chinese-American, Euro-American, Japanese-American, and Latino communities, respectively.
Tickets: Free; for more information call 626.577.1660, ext. 10.
