The rumors are true ... BROTHER brothers to share stage for first time in 11 years.
Eighteen years ago three brothers packed their didgeridoos, bagpipes and guitars, leaving the family farm in New South Wales, Australia and headed to Los Angeles to pursue their musical dreams.
In the following years, they proceeded to build themselves a cult following across the USA as BROTHER, touring clubs, theaters and massive outdoor festivals.
BROTHER became a model of do-it-yourself success as an indie band.
Along the way, BROTHER has released 13 self-produced albums, broken attendance and sales records at major festivals across the United States, toured with Joe Walsh and been invited to perform at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
The band's music has been featured in various theatre and dance productions, films and TV shows, including Ron Fricke’s critically acclaimed classic "BARAKA" and NBC's ER.
Surviving a near-death road accident and evolving through a number of line-up changes that included, over time, the departure of two of the three siblings, BROTHER and its music has become entwined in the lives of hundreds and thousands of people from Australia to Egypt, France to Canada.
Today, with founding member Angus on vocals, pipes and guitar, Aussie 'soul brother' Dalbo on drums and percussion, and adopted brother, DidgeriDrew on didgeridoos and keyboards, BROTHER tours as a powerhouse celtic tribal trio.
Now, for the first time in eleven years, Angus will reunite on stage with his younger brother.
Fans from the early days remember him as Fergus. He is known these days as Jack Avalon.
BROTHER and Jack Avalon will perform a double-bill at The Coach House in San Juan Capistrano, California on Friday, November 20th.
Angus - "It's fair to say this is the most excited I've been about a show in many a long year. And I get excited about shows. Jack and I grew up playing together. We made our living performing together for a long time. But, for whatever reasons, it has been a long time since. It is a really good feeling to have this to look forward to at years end. Jack has been a source of inspiration for me in many ways over the years. I cannot reveal too much for now but I do know it is going to be a once in a lifetime night."
