NATURAL SELF
Natural Self is the ongoing project of Nathaniel Pearn, aka producer Keno-1. Straight from Brighton, UK, anyone familiar with the forward-thinking producer's dazzling way with a beat will testify that an instinctive, bold use of rhythm has always been at the very core of his music. The characteristic combination of raw drums, polyrhythmic percussion and strident horns would become a signature style of the many remixes, singles and albums he has released - which includes collaborations with label mate Nostalgia 77, Quantic and soul singer Alice Russell.

Natural Self's skills as a DJ has him traveling increasingly across the UK and Europe and recently North America, as his style incorporates Latin and African music alongside funk and hip hop. His new album on Tru Thoughts - "My Heart Beats Like A Drum" has some of the best vocalists and in demand session players around, creating his musical imprint and explosive sound!
