ABOUT BAND FROM TV:
About Our Charitable Involvement
Band From TV was created to provide funding and resources for several incredibly worthwhile charities around the world. A few years back, Greg Grunberg was asked to play at the House of Blues with a group of celebrities. With the overwhelming interest this performance generated, he decided to form a celebrity band that could also serve as a platform for another passion - raising money for charitable causes.
After a guest stint on “House,” he met Hugh Laurie. Following that he performed at another charity event where he jammed with James Denton and Bob Guiney. Soon after, Bonnie Somerville joined the group and Band From TV was formed. Now the band includes stars such as Jesse Spencer, Teri Hatcher and Adrian Pasdar. All the celebrities have a charity they support.
Band From TV is all about giving, with the majority of the money raised from gigs and the band's upcoming DVD being donated back to help the charities in their endeavors. When it comes to celebrity charity involvement, there is true power in numbers. Coming together, they formed a celebrity rock band on a mission -- to make a difference in advancing and supporting the charities they feel passionately about.
What started out as a love for music and to simply have fun jamming with buddies has led Greg Grunberg and his friends to an unusual place -- packed venues playing rock and roll for charitable causes!
