Learn how to make beautiful and lyrical sounds of the harp in this four week session at Descanso Gardens.
Running from Nov. 4 through Dec. 9, these beginning harp lessons take place from 9 a.m. to noon. Aedan MacDonald, formerly of the Sylvia Woods Studios, guides students on a small, transportable folk harp.
Bring your own harp or rent one from Sylvia Woods ($55 per month, 818-956-1363).
Cost for the series is $85, $75 members.

About Descanso Gardens
Established as a public garden in 1954, Descanso Gardens is at 1418 Descanso Drive, La Cañada Flintridge, near the interchange of the 2 and 210 freeways. A popular setting for weddings, parties and meeting in addition to being a location for numerous feature films and television shows, the Gardens are open 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily except Christmas Day. Parking is free. Admission fees are $8 for adults; $6 for seniors and students; $3 for children 5 to 12, and free for members and children 5 and younger.
