Media City Ballet to present "The Cat and the Witch"

Presents A New Storybook Ballet, “The Cat and the Witch”

WHO: Media City Youth Ballet, under the direction of Natasha Middleton, Artistic Director, will present three FREE performances of a new storybook ballet, “The Cat and the Witch,” based on a short story written by Elizabeth C. Stephens, choreographed by Natasha Middleton, set to the music of Dmitry Shostakovich with narration provided by actress, Elmarie Wendel (“Third Rock From The Sun,” “George Lopez Show”).

WHAT: A new storybook ballet based on a short story written by Elizabeth C. Stephens, choreographed by Natasha Middleton, set to the music of Dmitry Shostakovich, with narration provided by actress Elmarie Wendel. Children attending the performances are encouraged to dress up as Cats and Witches for the event. Prizes will be awarded after each performance for the Best Costumes, and refreshments will be served. No reservations are required. There will also be a 50/50 Raffle, along with discount coupons for dance classes.

WHERE: In the courtyard at Media Dance Centre; 237 East Palm Avenue; Burbank, CA 91502.

WHEN: The performances will be presented with three separate casts at 3:00 p.m., 4:15 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. respectively, on Saturday, October 24, 2009 in the courtyard at Media Dance Centre.
