Williams Elliott Whitmore to tour

William Elliott Whitmore makes soul music in the most literal sense. It has nothing to do with style or instrumentation and everything to do with an intense honesty rarely found in modern music. The rural Iowan, armed with a banjo, acoustic guitar and an ageless voice, has merged the punk rock defiance of his childhood with the deep guttural folk and blues of his native soil to create a sound which both resonates and inspires in these most troubled of times. Kicking off tour Oct. 13th in St. Louis, William Elliott Whitmore will be crossing the US in tour of his acclaimed album Animals In The Dark.

Whitmore is a captivating performer like few others. Filter magazine said of a recent Los Angeles concert, “The Iowan farmer might still carry along the romance of a man living on the horse farm he was born in, but it’s the punk aesthetic beyond his tattoos that’s won him an audience …
