"Love's Journey" in Covina Friday and Saturday

Citrus College Alumni to Share the Stage at Local Theatre
by Stacy Armstrong

Citrus College alumni Sara Lindsay and Dave Damiani will be headlining a special Valentine’s themed production at the Covina Center for the Performing Arts this weekend.

The acclaimed vocalists will be joined by No Vacancy, a twenty-four piece live orchestra that also includes several Citrus College alumni. Together, these three amazing musical acts will present Love’s Journey, a special performance of the greatest love songs ever written.

Love’s Journey will be held at 8 p.m. on February 12th and February 13th at the Covina Center for the Performing Arts, which is located at 104 N. Citrus Avenue in Covina, Calif.

“It is simply going to be fantastic,” said Bob Slack, Citrus College Dean of Fine and Performing Arts. “This is a unique opportunity to support many of the college’s wonderful alumni who have become professional musicians and vocalists while experiencing the beauty of a wonderful new local theater.”

Tickets are $40 apiece and include a champagne and chocolate reception. Some of the advance ticket sale proceeds have been donated to the David and Margaret Home.

“The David and Margaret Home is a fantastic organization that provides diverse and incredible services for foster children,” Slack said. “Five dollars from every ticket sold during the last weekend of January was donated to their cause.”
