MTV2 to air new "Rock n Jock Saturdays"

MTV2 is going full throttle with a mash-up of jawdropping moments in sports and music that rocked the week with the new “Rock N Jock Saturdays” airing every Saturday beginning at 11:00am ET/PT. Each weekend, four jammed-packed hours of programming will mix the craziest new music with sports from 11am – 3pm ET/PT. Getting the day started is “Rock N Jock Countdown” followed by “Winter Dew Tour: Mount Snow” at 12-1pm ET/PT with “Pros vs Joes” closing this rocking block from 1-3pm ET/PT.

Grab a seat on the couch and your favorite bowl of cereal to tune into “Rock N Jock Countdown.” Hosts Todd Richards and Dirty will jump start the day by showing viewers insane clips of the best of the week’s sports moments from around the country. Todd and Dirty will be on hand to count down the top 10 music videos that rocked throughout the week.

Todd has a well-earned reputation as one of the most influential freestyle snowboard riders in the industry. Todd is known as one of the most influential snowboard riders in the industry.

From winning Winter X Games medals to earning a spot on the US Olympic Snowboard Team for the Magano Japan games to roles on the big screen, Todd has solidified his role as one of the best in the biz. Dirty’s knack for doing stunts that no human being should physically be able to allows him to fit right into the extreme mindset necessary for “Rock N Jock.” Getting his start as a sidekick to the largest names in rock, Dirty has spent years keeping crowds on their toes while touring with Fall Out Boy as their hype man. Dirty ultimately bulldozed his way into the spotlight after filming shorts called “Dirty Life.”

Shot on location at sporting events across the country, “Rock N Jock Countdown” will air in one-hour episodes throughout the year. The series will showcase many over-the-top moments performed by the leaders in sports. Never to be outdone, our hosts will take a stab at many of the pros tricked out stunts and will hopefully walk away in one piece. The pros will also sit down to talk about what it takes to make it to the top of their sport and discuss their upcoming athletic projects.

Last December the Rocky Mountains were turned into the epicenter of the Winter Dew Tour. Over three consecutive months the tour will travel to three of the country’s most renowned ski resorts to challenge the leaders of men’s and women’s snowboarding to a colossal competition worth a $1.5 million prize purse. The tour will feature snowboarding in both slopestyle and Superpipe, Men's Freeskiing in both Slopestyle and Superpipe and live concerts to keep the party going all night long. From fresh cut pipe to technical Slopestyle courses, the tour’s endless features will keep viewers you going all season long.

Many of sports’ biggest names from the last two decades are getting their chance to payback all the loud-mouth fans and cocky couch potatoes who tormented them during their careers in Spike TV’s hit series, “Pros vs. Joes.” In each episode, regular guys compete in a variety of different sports against an incredible array of sports legends.
