The Spill Canvas to tour

The Spill Canvas are gearing up to hit the road this spring for a five-week tour that begins April 21st in Cedar Falls, IA. The band will perform new songs, including those from their latest digital release Abnormalities, which came out January 12th on Reprise Records. A special physical edition, which includes an exclusive T-shirt, is only available for purchase through The Spill Canvas’ website: www.thespillcanvas.com.

Abnormalities features three brand-new tracks from the South Dakota rock quartet who are known for their dynamic live shows: “Gateway Drug,” “Don’t Let Your Enemies Become Friends,” and “Good Graces, Bad Influence.”

"We decided to, once again, push ourselves beyond our comfort zone as musicians and songcrafters,” says vocalist/guitarist Nick Thomas. “Honesty and simplicity remained the mantra on which we based the entire new musical direction."

The band, founded by Thomas in the small Sioux Falls community where he grew up, has been praised for their live shows by University Wire which gushed, “The Spill Canvas put on a lively show which satisfied old fans and most certainly gained new ones. This band feels every note they play. The Spill Canvas has a charming sincerity to their music,” while the Buffalo News has praised the band for “keeping the crowd dancing.”

The Spill Canvas have released several albums, including 2005’s One Fell Swoop and their major-label debut, 2007’s No Really, I’m Fine, produced by Neal Avron (The Wallflowers, Fall Out Boy) which spawned the radio smash “All Over You” and landed the band a performance on MTV. Each album has sold more than 80,000 copies.
