Singer-Songwriter Will Diehl announces the release of his latest CD Upcountry Morning. The CD features eight tracks of the environmental sounds of an early rainy summer morning in the Upcountry on the island of Maui, along with mellow, relaxing piano and keyboards. An additional five tracks contain only the environmental sounds of the early morning rainstorm and the sounds of the wide variety of birds that come to life as the rain passes and the sun comes out.
A portion of the proceeds from all of Diehl's music sales during the month of February will be donated to relief funds directed to the Haiti earthquake recovery efforts.
The Metro Spirit noted that Diehl’s 2009 Cafes CD contained “soulful harmonica, and real, flawless lyrical savvy” and that “Overall, Cafes is a timeless piece of acoustic musicianship.” Another Time, Diehl’s other 2009 release, continues in the same vein – intelligent, poetic lyrics and soulful recordings of Diehl alone in the studio.
Will Diehl is a prolific songwriter and his music ranges from mellow acoustic to rock to Americana, New Age to jazz to alt-country and his other 12 CDs of original music include i am free, From The Vine, Dream #1, Dream #2, Dream #3, Rain and Thunder Meditation, Impermanent Blue, Makena Sunset, Love and Motion 1.0, A Short Story, Cafes, and Another Time.
