One of country’s biggest superstars, Alan Jackson, joins ”Private Sessions” for an in-depth interview and performance this Sunday, April 11 at 9AM ET/PT on A&E. Jackson opens up to host Lynn Hoffman and performs some of his biggest hits as well as songs off of his newly released album “Freight Train.”
Jackson began his musical journey at one of his first jobs working in The Nashville Network’s mailroom where he was connected to Grammy Winner Glen Campbell, who pushed him to pursue his musical talent. Since then, Jackson has sold 50 million albums, has 34 #1 hits and this month, he’ll be honored with his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Jackson will discuss his new album “Freight Train,” for which he wrote or co-wrote eight of the 12 songs, as well as answer surprise questions from fellow musicians Martina McBride, Glen Campbell, Lee Ann Womack and Chris Daughtry. Along with his band, Jackson will perform many of his top hits including; “Chattahoochie,” “Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning),” and two new releases; “Every Now And Then,” and “Hard Hat And A Hammer.”
Filmed in a small, intimate studio in New York City, “Private Sessions” showcases exclusive performances and conversations with top names in entertainment with a focus on contemporary music ranging from rock ‘n’ roll to pop to country. Each Sunday morning “Private Sessions” explores the body of work of a single artists or group and feature current releases as well as career-building, influential or defining projects.
