Evan Taubenfeld to release album online

Sire Records artist Evan Taubenfeld has announced the release of his debut album Welcome to the Blacklist Club. Welcome to the Blacklist Club will be available exclusively online starting May 18, 2010.

Produced by John Fields (Jonas Brothers, Switchfoot, Lifehouse), Welcome to the Blacklist Club is a self-assured set of thoroughly addictive, radio-ready pop-rock anthems that showcase Taubenfeld’s melodic gifts, driving rhythmic sensibility, and engaging personality on such tracks as first single “Pumpkin Pie,” “Boy Meets Girl” and “Cheater of the Year.”

“Pumpkin Pie,” a quintessential song for summer, premieres today on AOL Music’s JSYK.com. It hits radio in June.

Fans of Avril Lavigne will already be familiar with Taubenfeld’s musical talent. The 26-year-old Baltimore native was Lavigne’s musical director and lead guitarist from 2001 to 2004. He co-wrote several tracks on her last two albums, including the gold single “Don’t Tell Me” from Under My Skin and “Hot” from her latest release The Best Damn Thing, and toured the world with her in support of her 6x-platinum debut Let Go. He has also collaborated on her upcoming release.

Since completing work on Welcome to the Blacklist Club, Evan has been criss-crossing the country, touring with The Academy Is…, Secondhand Serenade and Metro Station and performing at numerous radio shows. Look for him in your town later this year.
