“West Hollywood is the place where design and culinary trends get started. In many ways, West Hollywood was the birthplace of California cuisine,” said West Hollywood Mayor John Heilman. “We were also a pioneer in fusion food. This year's design tour allows us to explore the juxtaposition of cutting edge design and cutting edge cuisine,” continued Mayor Heilman.

The West Hollywood Structures + Style: Taste & Space is a guided walking and shuttle tour, providing participants an exclusive excursion for a behind the scenes peak at the latest trends in design and architecture. The tour will highlight restaurant design concepts that enhance the culinary experience for the consumer, creating spaces to tease the palates of even the finest connoisseurs. Participants will also receive personal chef demos and tastings, see new exciting event spaces, interior and architectural design changes, chef creations, art installations and other special guest designers.

The West Hollywood Structures + Style: Taste & Space will conclude with a tour of the Sierra Bonita Apartments, one of West Hollywood Community Housing Corporation's latest developments. World renowned architect Peter Tighe will be on site to provide an overview of the project’s design concept followed by a reception hosted by Whole Foods Marketplace and catered by Chef Mike Borassi of Handmade Foods.

The City of West Hollywood has partnered with American Society of Interior Designers (ASID LA Chapter), National Executive Women in Hospitality (NEWH LA Chapter) and the American Institute of Architecture (AIA) to host the West Hollywood Structures + Style: Taste & Space.
Proceeds from the West Hollywood Structures + Style: Taste & Space tour will be donated to the West Hollywood Community Housing Corporation (WHCHC). The WHCHC develops and promotes low-income housing, while maintaining unique architectural designs in their projects.
