Alejandro Sanz coming to San Manuel in July

Thursday, July 15, 2010, San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino is pleased to welcome multi-platinum Spanish recording artist, Alejandro Sanz. Tickets are available at Ticketmaster.com and the San Manuel Box Office for $45, $55, and $65.

As a child in Madrid, Spain, Alejandro Sanz developed his flamenco musical talents that also included a playful side of sevillanas, rumbas, tanguillos and alegrias. Sanz records reflect the sound of cities, objects and his own family, which can be mostly attributed to his parents, father in particular, who opened the sound gate while living in culturally charged places such as Andalucia, Pueblo Nuevo and Moratalaz.

In 1991, Sanz released his first album, "Viviendo deprisa", with the hit single "Los dos cogidos de la mano". The album highlighted his artistic growth, and went ten times Platinum in Spain.

"Pisando fuerte", another hit single on the album, helped him enter Latin American markets. For over 20 years, Sanz has released albums that helped push his career further into international stardom.

With the release of the album "Alejandro Sanz 3" in 1995, the singer became an international star, and he began recording in Italian and Portuguese. 1997 brought the album "Mas", which won him several Spanish Music Awards, including Best National Artist, Best Composer, Best Album, Best Single and Best Video for "Corazon Partio". His album "El alma al aire" in 2000, broke all of the Spanish sales records, sellling one-million copies the first week alone. That same year, he was awarded four Latin Grammy Awards for Recording of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Male Pop Vocal Album, and Album of the Year.

Collectively, Sanz has won 15 Latin Grammy Awards and two American Grammy Awards, sold more than 25-million albums worldwide (all certified Platinum), and released a total of 10 albums and six DVD’s.

Every Thursday night with headliner entertainment, San Manuel gives away $1,000 just for seeing the show. To be eligible to win, guests only need a ticket to the show, a Club Serrano card and to be 21 or older. Guests can enter beginning at noon on such days.
