Carl Verheyen offers free download of "Taxman" cover

Guitar virtuoso, Carl Verheyen (Supertramp), has decided to help ease your tax preparation woes with free downloads of his cover of “Taxman.” The Harrison favorite is from the Carl Verheyen Band’s tenth album, the highly-acclaimed Trading 8s. “Taxman” also features special guest Scott Henderson trading 8s with Verheyen on both guitar and electric sitar. Prolific bassist, Dave Marotta (Colbie Caillot, Phil Collins), and master drummer and percussionist, Walfredo Reyes, Jr. (Santana, Traffic, Steve Winwood), round out the band. Other guest soloists on the album include Joe Bonamassa, Robben Ford, Steve Morse, Scott Henderson, Albert Lee and Rick Vito. The project was released on Cranktone Entertainment, his own label.

The free download will be available from Tuesday, April 13 – Thursday, April 15 via Carl's official website, http://www.carlverheyen.com. This is the first time he has allowed any of his tracks to be made available for free download. Verheyen said of his ”Taxman” decision, “Anything I can do to ease your IRS pain!”

The Carl Verheyen Band just returned from a five week tour of Europe, performing in Austria, Germany, France, Switzerland, Spain, Belgium and Lithuania and holding several clinics while there. They will be together Monday, July 12 in Jackson Hole, WY kicking off with a gig at the annual Jackson Hole Music Experience Rock & Roll Camp 2010, where both Verheyen and Walfredo Reyes, Jr. will also teach until July 23. Carl will also be doing a master class during Guitar Week at Duquesne University in Pittsburg, PA the week of July 26.
