Pasadena to offer open space and conservation workshop for residents Saturday

Pasadena residents are invited to share their ideas about open space and conservation during a community workshop Saturday, May 8, at Art Center College of Design’s south campus, 950 S. Raymond Ave.

From 9 to 10 a.m. participants will tour the Hydrotech Garden Roof and Foiltec Skylights, view maps of Pasadena’s open spaces and exhibits of conservation concepts, and share ideas with city staff and Open Space/Conservation Element Committee members.

From 10 a.m. to noon they will break into small groups to help develop and prioritize the city of Pasadena’s criteria for protecting and acquiring future open spaces, as well as refine goals and objectives for the Open Space and Conservation Element of the General Plan and brainstorm implementation measures.
