As a musician and producer, Sole uses the word "MUSAICS" as both a band name and a conceptual approach; sampling seemingly unrelated world rhythms and sounds from old records, writing original music utilizing his 9-piece ensemble, and juxtaposing it all as a form of mosaic music.

Sole has pulled together his dream team of musicians including members of The Lions, Quantic Soul Orchestra, Antibalas, Orgone, Mayer Hawthorne, Build an Ark and many more projects. Alan Lightner on percussion and steel drums, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson on Viola, Todd Simon on trumpet and a heavyweight cast of players who invoke the spirits and spark the dancefloor. With Sole on MPC, turntables and guitar, MUSAICS keeps an experimental-yet-steady groove that hybridizeselements of Afrobeat, Cumbia, Spiritual Jazz and dubbed-out dancefloor beats.
MUSAICS' debut gig was at the Getty Museum, opening for Budos Band, then a headlining a KCRW event for over 3000 people. Being the co-founder and resident deejay of Afro Funké, Jeremy Sole has waited until just the right moment to bring his band to the club!

BUYEPONGO
( live Cumbia/Vallenato band!)
Buyepongo is a manifestation of the “migration patterns of people of the Americas (site)”. Carlos (conga) is Guatemalan, Wilfredo (cowbell) if from El Salvador, Edgar (guacharaca) and Randy (bass) parents are from Mexico, Kevin’s (conga) parents come from Mexico and Guatemala, Roberto’s (palago drums) parents are from Mexico and Ecuador, and Bardo’s (accordion) parents are from Colombia and Mexico.

So it is only natural that Buyepongo plays cumbia while consciously pushing the music that runsthrough its’ veins and always paying homage to its’ originators, Andres Landero and Sexteto Tabala, while consistently moving sweaty crowds with original songs and compositions.

Moving crowds and shaking masses and excelerate souls is what Buyepongo does, beating drumssoaking dry dirt with dripping sweat, to uplift and to ground everyone to Earth’s original pulse.
