Against Me! to hold new album listening party online this weekend

White Crosses, the new album from Florida punk band Against Me!, will premiere via an exclusive listening party on MySpace this weekend. The album, which will be released by Sire Records on June 8th, will stream in its entirety beginning Saturday, June 5th through June 7th at http://www.myspace.com/againstme.

Against Me! will make several appearances the week the album is released, including taping upcoming segments for Fuel TV’s Daily Habit. They will also perform the album’s first single, “I Was A Teenage Anarchist,” on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno on June 11th.

White Crosses was produced by veteran producer Butch Vig (Green Day, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins), who also produced Against Me!’s 2007 album New Wave. Rolling Stone said the songs on White Crosses are “righteous, churning, gut-rollers.” Nylon Guys praises lead singer Tom Gabel as “a staggeringly prolific songwriter.”

Against Me!, which also includes guitarist James Bowman, bassist Andrew Seward, and new drummer George Rebelo (formerly of Hot Water Music), are currently on the road. They will appear at KROQ’s annual Weenie Roast at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Irvine on June 5th, at Live 105’s BFD 2010 at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, CA, on June 6th. They will also perform at the Bonnaroo Music Festival in Manchester, TN, on June 13th and at Summerfest in Milwaukee on July 4th.
