Art Center to offer classes for kids and teens

Art Center’s Public Programs provide a unique opportunity for elementary, middle and high school students to immerse themselves in weeklong art and design workshops this summer. Art Center for Kids provides students in grades 4-8 with conceptually based art and design classes that promote innovation, critical thinking, and visual literacy. Art Center for Kids offers foundation courses, such as still life, painting and figure drawing and expands into more specific fields, including architecture, photography, and illustration. Through Saturday High, students in grades 9-12 have an opportunity to learn in an exciting college environment. Students will meet other high school students interested in art and design and learn to prepare portfolios for art and design school admission. Saturday High classes range in subject from painting and figure drawing to transportation design and graphic design.
