Summer Evening Jazz Concerts at Descanso Gardens, June 24-August 12, 5:30 – 7 p.m., Descanso Gardens, 1418 Descanso Drive, La Canada. Descanso presents an eight-week “The Evolution of American Jazz” concert series with some of SoCal’s finest jazz artists. Tonight, Louie Cruz Beltran performs his infections Latin rhythms. Established as a public garden in 1954, Descanso Gardens is at 1418 Descanso Drive, La Cañada Flintridge, near the interchange of the 2 and 210 freeways. A popular setting for weddings, parties and meetings in addition to being a location for numerous feature films and television shows, the Gardens are open 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily except Christmas Day.
