Gala benefit planned for Boys & Girls Clubs of Pasadena

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Pasadena announces its 2010 annual fundraising event, a Black Tie and Burgers affair. In its second year, the evening promises to be a beautiful night under the stars with cocktails, dinner, a live auction and live music.

The Black Tie and Burgers event will be held on Saturday, October 16th at 6:00 p.m. at the beautiful Wallace Neff home of Eileen and Michael Williamson in Pasadena, Ca. In-N-Out Burger will provide the main course, while The Spot will provide all the fringes with dinner, including all the sides ‘n fixin’s and mouth-watering dessert.

Activities for the evening will include both a silent auction filled with amazing gift-giving items, as well as a live auction that features extravagant packages and events. Music for the evening will be provided by two live bands. Cale, a flamenco fusion band, will provide music during cocktail hour, while the second band, Celebration, a six-member ensemble led by lead singer and bassist Ron Suffredini (known for his playing appearances with jazz greats like Kenny G, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Bobby Caldwell, and the late Gary Crosby) will play during dinner and dancing.

"It is a pleasure to join with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Pasadena in inviting you to attend this year’s benefit, the Black Tie & Burgers event on October 16," said Bill Bogaard, City of Pasadena’s Mayor. "I greatly admire the mission of the Clubs, which is to promote health, education, social, vocational, and character development of all boys and girls it serves."

Money raised from each individual $150 ticket sold includes sponsorship of one child’s annual $75 club membership. Patron Sponsorship packages are available ranging from $1,000 to $10,000 and each includes up to 10 tickets to the fundraiser.
