Winston Warrior to release solo album

Atlanta born, Winston Warrior is proud to announce his forthcoming debut solo R&B album. Building anticipation for the project, tentatively scheduled for an independent late summer 2010 release, Winston Warrior will recruit massive fan interaction into the creative process.

With the phoenix as Winston’s signature emblem, it accurately represents his rebirth and return to the music industry. Winston was an original member of the '90s R&B group, Lo ‘Profile. Two singles were on regular radio rotation and the group had shared the stage with established artists, Mary J. Blige, Queen Latifah, and Dru Hill to name a few. Though promising their careers seemed, several failed attempts at negotiating a record deal proved to be the reality.

After years of self-doubt, however, Winston has returned with a vengeance and is determined to make a lasting footprint. With the now untitled debut album, Winston is holding back nothing in terms of marketing, promotion, and fan engagement. He has planned several initiatives to not only increase his fan community, but also to include his supporters into the creative process.

Through Winston’s video journal, he is pulling back the velvet ropes and allowing people to witness tiring lessons with his vocal coach, heated debates with his management team, and unedited studio recording sessions. He will also do virtual listening parties to gather fan reactions and input on singles, song titles, album artwork, and music video footage. Additionally, there will be opportunities for supporters to acquire limited edition merchandise, submit feedback on his modeling go-sees, as well as audition to be band members.

Winston Warrior’s interactive campaign will be an ongoing effort through the album’s production to its launch and will continue through post release activities. The debut project features producers, Selasi, founder of Rocksteady Music Group as well as Don Vito and Sean McMillion from Don Vito Productions and cultivates a sound that Winston coins, “Vintage R&B.” It is music that pays tribute to the feel-good R&B and soul music of the late '80s and '90s, but with the edginess of today’s production creativity.
