They are designed to demonstration the numerous skills children learn in LACC and showcase the chorus and its comprehensive music program. Families will also enjoy group warm-ups and interactive musicianship activities conducted by LACC staff, all of which are part of the choir's first-rate training program. There will also be a short presentation and the opportunity for guests to meet some of LACC's staff to ask questions about the program. LACC's renowned program focuses on training children who may not necessarily have had previous singing experience, but who are dedicated to achieving excellence in vocal technique, choral singing and classical music. Under the artistic direction of Anne Tomlinson and currently celebrating its 25th season, the choir provides a comprehensive music education and performance program for children of diverse cultural and economic backgrounds in the Los Angeles region. LACC is comprised of six choirs with choristers ranging in age from 8 to 18. LACC also offers “First Experiences in Singing” classes for young singers ages 6 and 7. The choir frequently performs with such leading musical ensembles as the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, the Los Angeles Master Chorale, and the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra. Under Mrs. Tomlinson, LACC also assists Los Angeles Opera by providing and training children for opera productions that require children's chorus or soloists. Pasadena Presbyterian Church is located at 585 East Colorado Boulevard in Pasadena, California 91101. The open house is free, but reservations are required and can be made by calling 626.793.4231 or e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
