NPR to air Sasquatch! Music Festival live May 28-30

NPR Music, together with Seattle’s KEXP and partner public radio stations from around the country, is bringing the soundtrack to this weekend’s barbeque by live webcasting and broadcasting three days of music from the 10th annual Sasquatch! Music Festival in Quincy, Washington. From May 28-30, NPR Music is teaming up with member stations KEXP, KUT Austin, OPB Portland and The Current from Minnesota Public Radio, to offer dozens of full sets from acts playing the sold-out Festival’s four stages, including Bright Eyes, Death Cab for Cutie (whose new album is previewing now at NPR Music’s “First Listen”), Deerhunter, Foo Fighters, Flying Lotus, J Mascis, Major Lazer, Old 97’s, Robyn, Smith Westerns, Surfer Blood, The Thermals, Twin Shadow, Washed Out and Wilco.

This is the first time that curated coverage of Sasquatch! concerts will be accessible through free, live webcasts at NPR Music. All live coverage will be available at

and through the NPR Music iPhone app from May 28-30 from 11:30 AM-11:30 PM PT (2:30 PM-2:30 AM ET). Concerts will be archived for on-demand listening at the site, the app and as podcasts; visit NPR Music for news and constantly updated photos of the action at The Gorge, the scenic venue where the festival takes place. More information on additional coverage being offered by NPR Music's member station partners will be available on their websites: http://www.kexp.org/ (which begins its live coverage a day early, on May 27), http://www.www.kut.org/, http://www.opb.org/ and http://www.thecurrent.org/
