Planningtorock releases album

Download “The Breaks” MP3via DFA’s Soundcloud!

Planningtorock, aka Berlin-based musician and visual artist Janine Rostron, released her brilliant sophomore album W digitally today via DFA Records (out physically June 14). She also recently remixed her track “Doorway,” and created yet another visual stunning video to accompany the Jamroll remix- head over to Interview Magazine to check it out, along with a wonderful, in-depth look into the world of Planningtorock!

W, the follow-up to her 2006 debut Have It All, is littered with passionate songs like “The Breaks,” the baroque Berlin-influenced “Living It Out,” the sharpened percussive scythe of “Jam,” and the swirling grace of “Black Thumber.”

Created over the course of the last three and half years in near solitude in her Berlin studio, the multi-instrumentalist and talented producer, wrote, sang and played every instrument on the album. With some added contributions from friends Christoffer Berg, Pat Mahony and Hjörleifur Jónsson, Planningtorock has created an album of immense proportions. Keep an eye out for U.S. tour dates.
