Dengue Fever to play at KCRW's Masquerade Oct. 29

KCRW’s killer Halloween bash Masquerade returns on Saturday, October 29, 2011 from 9pm to 2am at the Legendary Park Plaza with special  performances from LA’s own Dengue Fever and Mariachi El Bronx, as well as New York indie rockers Milagres and a DJ set from Portland via Portugal RAC founder Andre Allen Anjos.

Tickets to the event are selling fast and can be purchased online here: http://www.kcrw.com/masquerade

Expect dancefloor-filling sets from KCRW’s own Music Director Jason Bentley (Coachella, Pacific Festival, HARD), Henry Rollins, Raul Campos, Jeremy Sole and nine other KCRW DJs as well as a sea of sounds, visuals and revelry unlike any other party in town.

Attendees will experience “Melting Rainbows”, a visual hallucination performed by artist Aaron Axelrod, and encounter the outlandish antics of vaudeville circus troupe Lucent Dossier throughout the haunted hotel. L.A.'s finest storytellers will enchant with tales of the macabre in the haunted bridal suite and five of our favorite food trucks will hold court on the back lot: The Border Grill Truck, The Grilled Cheese Truck, The Buttermilk Truck, Lake Street Creamery and Lardon Truck.

The costume ball and dance party has sold out every year and was dubbed “best party of the year” by LA Snark. KCRW Â credits our incredibly creative attendees - whose costumes are some of the best you’ve ever seen – with making this a can’t-miss event on a busy holiday weekend.

The event is 21 and over and all tickets are general admission. Proceeds for the event support KCRW.
