Description: AxS (Arts and Science) Festival 2011 is part of a biennial celebration of Pasadena’s remarkable heritage as “The City of Art and Science.” This year’s festival explores the eternal, elemental themes of FIRE and WATER – epic forces that have inspired, shaped and defined us and our landscape throughout existence. The festival will interpret this theme through originalpublic art commissions, conversations and performances at Pasadena’s leading cultural, educational and scientific institutions over the course of 16 days.
Each presentation is site-specific and times will arranged with interested volunteers according to their convenience.
Locations: Arts and Science venues in Pasadena will include Art Center College of Design, Caltech, Huntington Library, JPL, The Gamble House, Pacific Asia Museum, Pasadena City College, Pasadena Museum of California Art, Xiem Clay Center, Pasadena ProMusica, Pasadena Public Library.

There are multiple events and so times will vary
