Fun Run in West Covina March 25

Don’t miss the FUN of the 16th Annual FUN RUN presented by the Covina Rotary Club and Citrus Valley Health Partners. It will be on Sunday, March 25th, 2012 at a new location: South Hills High School in West Covina. It features a 1k run for the novices as well as a 5k run for those more adventurous. And this year, we will have FOOD trucks to quench even the most ravenous of appetites!

All funds raised support Teacher Mini-Grants for Covina - Valley and Charter Oak Unified School Districts along with other community service projects.

The Fun Run festivities begin at 8 a.m. with check-in. The 5K run/walk starts at 9 a.m. and the 1k run/walk is at 10 a.m. Runners/walkers receive a free t-shirt. Entrance to the FOOD TRUCK bonanza is free, featuring the trucks Buttermilk, Curb a Peel, Krazy BBQ, Sweet E’s Bake Shop, and Surfer Taco.

“Medals will be given to all youth 1k runners!” says Jon Teran, chair of the event. “And, for the 5k, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals will be awarded for each age category.”

Entry fees are $25 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under. Register on-line at www.active.com , www.raceit.com , or www.pacificcoastracetiming.com. Registrations should be postmarked by 3/10/12 or an additional $5 fee applies.
