Inti-Illimani at Caltech April 21

Inti-Illimani performs a mix of contemporary, global, and traditional Latin American music on Saturday, April 21, at 8 p.m. in Caltech’s Beckman Auditorium.



The group of Chilean musicians performing on more than 30 Wind, string, and percussion instruments, united in musical and political spirit in 1967. Inti-Illimani is one of the leading proponents of the New Song movement, a blend of cultural and traditional Latin American folk music and contemporary musical idioms. Exiled in Chile in 1973, the group settled in Italy. Their music reflects the influences of their years in Europe.



Tickets to this performance are priced at $32.00, $27.00, and $22.00; youth (high school age and younger): $10.00. Senior rush tickets will go on sale for $10.00, beginning one-half hour before the performance (subject to availability). Tickets can be purchased at the Caltech Ticket Office, 332 S. Michigan Ave., Pasadena.
