March 25 - Ilana presents “Mother Earth” with guest dancers Meryem Vani, Irina-Artemis, Jayel, Yuliya Lunessia, and, dancing at her first Shimmyshowcase, Cheri. Come celebrate the rites of Spring with these fabulous performers and enjoy some great food and beverages at Viento y Agua coffee house.

Everyone is invited for a relaxing evening among friends. Select your favorite beverage, hot or cold, from an assortment of coffees, teas, smoothies or juice; add to that a tasty sandwich or pastry; and then seat yourself in the entertainment area to enjoy some really great dancing at NO cover charge!
SUNDAY SHIMMY SHOWCASE begins on most Sundays at 5:30 p.m. at Viento y Agua Coffee House in Long Beach at 4007 East 4th Street; 562-434-1182. Occasionally we have Saturday showcases beginning a bit later. Please refer to the detailed schedule for more information.
Note—N405-W22 (7th St) transition is closed for construction, so for those coming from the south, the best way is to exit the 405 at Westminster as the detour indicates. Then take Westminster through the PCH intersection until it turns into 2nd street. Take the first right immediately after the bridge and an immediate left. That street will turn into 4th and Viento Y Aqua will be on the right.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before show time (earlier if you’re a performer!), so you can first stop at the refreshment counter to get a delicious beverage, snack or sandwich; then head for the show area and grab a seat so you don’t miss any of our great performers!

April 1 – It’s Fool’s Day and Saviya is your host for Laugh Out Loud (LOL) with Erica, Erica (yes, it’s no joke--we really have 2 Ericas!), Nova Kachina, and Isis-Siren-Sekhmet performing. One other thing we’re not fooling about is that everyone is sure to have fun at this Shimmyshowcase!
April 8 - DARK – NO SHIMMYSHOWCASE (Easter Sunday)
April 15 - Amber returns to coordinate this Shimmyshowcase with the Gypsy Sisters, Aleksia, Bella and Ewanni as guest dancers.
April 22 - Draca welcomes guest dancers Sabrina, Lala, Dalilah, and Tehani and her student dance ensemble to dazzle you with some great bellydancing moves.
April 29 - Blues is in the House on this night as coordinator Ilana returns with this popular Shimmyshowcase theme and welcomes guest dancers Rosé and Carmella Fatale. We have openings for additional performers, so if you’re a Blues or jazz loving bellydancer, this is the showcase for you! Please email us at Shimmyshowcase@gmail.com for a performance spot. Don’t wait because we expect this one to fill up quickly!
May 5 (Saturday) - Shimmyshowcase presents another special event Saturday evening program as Viento y Agua goes back to the Victorian era with Saviya presenting a Vaudvillian bellydancing program with guest dancers Anastasia, Rebecca, Bella, and Sonia. Plus author DeAnna Cameron will read from her latest Bellydance-themed novel set in the Victorian era and will be autographing copies of her new book at this special Shimmyshowcase, which will begin around 7:00 pm on Saturday, May 5.
