DECREPIT BIRTH, sold around 1,300 copies in the United States of their new album Polarity in its first week of release. The CD landed at position No. 18 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, making it the bands highest first week sales yet. Polarity was released on July 27, 2010 via Nuclear Blast Records.
Drums for Polarity were recorded at Sharkbite Studios (EXODUS) with producer Zack Ohren (ALL SHALL PERISH, SUFFOCATION, IMMOLATION) while all other tracking was handled by Matt Sotelo before being mixed by Ohren at Castle Ultimate Studios. The artwork was completed by cult artist Dan Seagrave (MORBID ANGEL, ENTOMBED, SUFFOCATION, etc.).
