Neko Case to tour

NEKO CASE’S FOX CONFESSOR BRINGS THE FLOOD TOPS YEAR-END LISTS;
2007 TOUR DATES SCHEDULED AND INCLUDE AN APPEARANCE AT
NYC’s LINCOLN CENTER AND SUPPORT PERFORMANCES WITH
MERLE HAGGARD AND EMMYLOU HARRIS

Neko Case has topped a variety of 2006 year-end lists with her critically acclaimed album Fox Confessor Brings The Flood (Anti-). Named her “finest album” by Entertainment Weekly, Neko’s latest is ranked #1 on Amazon.com’s “Best Music of 2006: Top Editors’ Picks” and is the year’s #1 charting disc at CMJ, an achievement celebrated by Case’s appearance on the cover of New Music Report (Issue 990).

Case’s fourth studio album was also voted #2 on NPR’s “All Songs Considered,” the “All Things Considered” music critics’ year-end round-up, just ahead of Bob Dylan’s Modern Times, and came in at #4 on MOJO magazine’s “Americana Album of the Year” list.

Fox Confessor Brings the Flood was the only non-traditional jazz album to make Downbeat magazine’s “Top Six Masterpieces for the Year” and was named “Album of the Year” by Glide magazine.

Case, who recently wrapped a tour of Australia with her other band the New Pornographers, will return down under with her own outfit next month, before hitting the U.S. West Coast in February on a tour that will include four dates opening for country music legend Merle Haggard.

On February 23, Neko and the band will play two sold-out shows at Lincoln Center’s Allen Room in NYC as part of the venue’s ongoing “Songbook Series.” A March 2007 tour is also being planned around a support date with Emmylou Harris in Grand Rapids, MI.
