ASPIRING SINGER/SONGWRITER FROM LANCASTER/PALMDALE AREA WANTED
-GET A $10,000 GRANT TO HELP LAUNCH YOUR CAREER!

SunCal Companies Program to Help Build Community by Finding the One Aspiring Voice that Most Represents the Area.
Music From Home, an original-music sponsorship and emerging artist support program, is seeking singer/songwriters based in the Palmdale/Lancaster area. Beginning November 16, SunCal Companies will conduct a search for the finest, freshest voice in the area and provide that person $10,000 to help him or her achieve wider exposure.
The deadline for submissions to Music From Home - Antelope Valley is January 15, 2007 and SunCal expects to announce the winner before the end of the year.
The winner of Music From Home - Antelope Valley will also receive opportunities to create a music video and perform in conjunction with the unveiling of the new community of Ritter Ranch, master-planned by SunCal Companies in the hills above the Antelope Valley. The video is also expected to premiere online and possibly aired over cable and broadcast TV.

Music from Home Details:
All musicians interested in entering the Music From Home - Antelope Valley
competition must adhere to the following submission guidelines and deadlines.
1. Contestants must be at least 18 years old.
2. Contestants are strongly encouraged to have ties to the Antelope Valley (this includes being born, raised or currently residing in the Antelope Valley).
3. Contestants must submit entries by January 15, 2007.
4. All submissions must include a photo, a brief letter describing the contestant's connection to the Antelope Valley and either a mailed CD, an emailed audio file or an emailed video file of the song submission.
5. All submissions must be original music by a singer/songwriter. Singer/songwriter must be able to accompany him/herself live on-stage, or with supporting musicians.
6. Contestants may not submit more than three songs for consideration.
7. The $10,000 prize money is to be used for the continued benefit of the winning contestant's artistic pursuit.
8. Acceptable submissions must include:
* Item #4 (above), and Digital audio files sent via email to music@roddanpaolucci.com
* Or compact discs mailed to:

Judging will favor singer/songwriters who can musically accompany themselves in a live setting so that they will be able to perform at events. Singer/songwriters with experience in all music genres are welcome to enter the competition. For more information, please visit the website:
