Hellogoodbye contest

ACIDplanet.com®, one of the Internet's premier sites for user-generated music, video content, computer-based recording and remixing tools, has launched an exclusive remix contest with the up-and-coming indie-rock band, Hellogoodbye. The band has spent the last two years perfecting their unbridled live show and booty-shaking jams, which culminate in the release of their debut album, Zombies! Aliens! Vampires! Dinosaurs! With their album release in 2006, Hellogoodbye has signed on with ACIDPlanet for the band’s first remix contest.
“The ACIDPlanet contest is an awesome opportunity for us as a band to get the chance to hear how our fans would add their flavor to our tracks,” says Forrest Kline of Hellogoodbye.
The band is known for their sharp outfits and having a particularly close relationship with their fans.
“Every band wants their fans to appreciate their music – even remixing our songs is the best form of flattery.”
Members Forrest Kline, Jesse Kurvink, Marcus Cole, and Chris Profeta have a very “do-it-yourself” ethic when it comes to all aspects of the band. Hellogoodbye handles most of their production and marketing ideas themselves. Ranging from recordings and album artwork to posters and merchandise designs, all members of Hellogoodbye are extremely involved with the band’s day-to-day business.
Hellogoodbye recently achieved fame with their appearances as the musical guests on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Last Call with Carson Daly and The Late Show with Craig Ferguson. The band is also taping an episode of MTV Live to be broadcast this summer.
The eleven tracks that make up Zombies! Aliens! Vampires! Dinosaurs! are a collection of songs that work together to create a non-stop party mix, where no two songs are alike. From the opening beats of the New Wave powerhouse track “All Of My Love” to the tender plucking and pining of “Oh, It Is Love,” Hellogoodbye have created the perfect soundtrack to this generation’s ode to young love.
With over 36 million plays on their MySpace.com page and voted Yahoo! Music’s “Who’s Next?” Winner in December 2006, Hellogoodbye is definitely rockin’ their way to the top of the charts. Zombies! Aliens! Vampires! Dinosaurs! entered the Billboard charts at number 13, and was the number one Internet and Independent album. Zombies! Aliens! Vampires! Dinosaurs! has sold more than 300,000 copies. In January 2007, the single "Here (In Your Arms)" saw resurgence on Top 40 radio and entered the Billboard Hot 100 (peaking at #14) and is a certified Gold Record.
Hellogoodbye begins a two-month headlining tour on April 5th. For more information on tour dates, visit http://www.hellogoodbye.net.
ACIDplanet remix entrants will get access to the master tracks from "All of Your Love," Hellogoodbye's second single from Zombies! Aliens! Vampires! Dinosaurs! starting Tuesday, March 27, 2007. Contestants get the opportunity to create their remix of "All Of Your Love" by downloading track loops using the ACID music creation software to paint the loops into their remix.
