Pasadena power poppers Ozma launch new album and tour

Pasadena, California-based quintet Ozma is gearing up for the release of its new album Pasadena on About A Girl Records. The record features a cameo from Rachel Haden of The Rentals and That Dog, as well as an appearance from Nada Surf’s Matthew Caws. The first single "Eponine" will impact radio in late April and the band will start the first leg of extensive U.S. touring.
The band formed over a decade ago and self-released its first album Rock And Roll Part Three which caught the attention of Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo. Rivers became Ozma's biggest supporter, inviting the band to open for Weezer on two tours and numerous club dates and he was quoted in Rolling Stone Magazine as saying "Ozma is more Weezer than Weezer, in a good way."
Besides Weezer, Ozma has also toured nationally with Nada Surf, Rooney, Rilo Kiley, Superdrag, the Get Up Kids, Saves The Day, and Piebald (to name a few) and SoundScanned just south of 50,000 albums.
The band took a brief hiatus in 2004-2005, reforming in September 2005 with current drummer Kenn "The Brain" Shane.
All five members of Ozma sing, (Star Wick keyboards, flute; Ryen Slegr, lead vocals, guitar; Jose Galvez ,guitar and Daniel Brummel, lead vocals, bass) providing the band with its delicious harmonies and juicy melodic flavors.
Don’t miss your chance to witness the rock and pop goodness that is Ozma live!
