This May, 7-Eleven, Inc. is giving Guitar Hero fans in the greater Los Angeles area a larger-than-life experience of the beloved game that has become a worldwide sensation. 7-Eleven, Inc. has partnered with Coca-Cola, Activision, Inc. and Microsoft Corp. to promote the highly anticipated Guitar Hero: Aerosmith video game, which hits stores in June. Fans will get the exclusive chance to play the not-yet-released game on a 12 x 6-foot video screen, complete with gaming consoles, that will travel to select 7-Eleven locations around Los Angeles as part of its promotion of its new Full Throttle Frozen Blast Slurpee® drink.
Twenty Los Angeles-area 7-Eleven stores will hold events throughout May featuring the Guitar Hero media vans, which allows gaming fans to play Guitar Hero live on the 12-foot-tall video screens and six theater-quality speakers. Memorial Day weekend events will include giveaways such as one XBOX 360 console and 10 Guitar Hero III videogames. Additionally, other Guitar Hero prizes, along with free Slurpees and hot dogs will be given away in the days leading up to Memorial Day weekend.
