Most recently, the band has been dividing their time between gigging and filming their upcoming TV show Z Rock; a semi-scripted original comedy about the experiences and antics of being a rock band. Z Rock premieres Sunday, September 7th, 2008 at 11:30pm ET/PT on IFC, the 'Always Uncut' network.

ZO2’s Paulie Z says, “I always thought that our lives and journeys would make a great TV show, book or movie. I’m glad that IFC thinks so too. This television comedy is definitely the best way to tell our story because the audience gets to see and hear us perform and being a rock band is what we are about first and foremost.”

Brooklyn born band ZO2 -- featuring brothers Paulie Z (lead vocals/guitar) and David Z (bass/vocals) with Joey Cassata (drums) -- is most often compared to a cross between 70’s icons, Led Zeppelin and Aerosmith mixed with a bit of Audioslave and Stone Temple Pilots. The band's high-energy, boldly entertaining stage presence is what impresses fans and critics alike.

Ain't It Beautiful is the first release for ZO2’s label, New York City based Riker Hill Records, distributed by IDN, an aggressive independent where passion and experience meet the future of rock and roll.

Program Note: As part of IFC’s strategy to maximize the value of IFC Free, its new On Demand platform, the network will continue to exclusively premiere - in high-definition - new episodes of its original series on-demand prior to the linear network premiere of each episode. Z Rockwill debut on IFC Free on Thursday, August 28, nine days before its premiere on IFC. Z Rock is a co-production of Starz Media, MarkMark Productions and IFC.
