Background
Taking their enigmatic name Pantoum from the 2nd movement of the Ravel Trio, renowned pianist and Gold Medal Winner of the International Prokofiev Competition Robert Edward Thies, Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra Assistant Concertmaster Tereza Stanislav, and Long Beach Symphony Orchestra Principal Cellist Cécilia Tsan, return to the Trinity Lutheran’s Main Concert Series to share their passion for chamber music with the audience. The concert, whose theme is “Die Nacht,” will include three Nocturnes by Ernest Bloch, Beethoven’s “Ghost” Trio, and the Los Angeles premiere of Arnold Schoenberg’s Verklärte Nacht arranged for piano trio by Schoenberg’s close friend and ally, Eduard Steuerman.
