HBO Films Offers Los Angeles the Authentic
2000 Florida RECOUNT Experience
The Actual Voting Machines and Ballot Boxes Available to Experience Democracy’s Most Confusing Moment

Los Angeles, CA – The actual Votomatic Florida voting machines used in the controversial 2000 Presidential Election, complete with butterfly ballots and hanging chads, will be available for Los Angeles residents to experience on Tuesday, May 20 starting at 10 a.m. at The Grove, through HBO Films’ RECOUNT, so that people can judge for themselves whether they could have effectively cast their ballot.

At the RECOUNT Voting Center, 12 authentic Florida voting machines will be available for participants to re-enact the actual voting process and determine if they would have voted for their intended candidate and if their vote would have counted.

The same event will be held in New York City simultaneously.
