Early registration for ecofriendly garden class closes Friday

The early-registration deadline for Ecofriendly Hillside Gardening and Terracing is Friday, May 30. Course sessions will be held on June 7, 14, 21, and 28 (Saturdays) from 9:30 AM to 12:45 PM. The class is about two-thirds full as of Tuesday, May 27, and has attracted an interesting group of students, both local to Topanga and otherwise. For complete information see http://www.ecoworkshops.com/hillside.html.

With the spring planting window closing for much of Southern California, especially the warmer areas and inland valleys, now is an ideal time to plan and carry out projects such as terracing to prepare for late-summer and fall planting.

Upcoming courses include a repeat of Edible Landscaping and Perennial Food Gardening to begin mid-July in West LA, and Sustainable Biointensive Gardening to begin late August, also in West L.A.
