PBS Kids Sprout to offer Halloween special

PBS KIDS SproutSM, the first and only 24-hour preschool destination available on TV, on demand and online for kids ages 2-5 and their parents and caregivers, will feature a special Halloween-themed presentation of The Good Night Show called "A Good Night Treat” from 6-9 p.m. ET on Friday, October 31.

Hosts Nina and Star will play dress up games, share viewer-submitted artwork and costume photos, read fun Halloween stories, and help parents wind down their kids for bedtime after a day filled with Halloween excitement. Plus, viewers will enjoy playfully spooky episodes of their favorite shows such as Caillou®, Berenstain Bears(TM), Dragon Tales(TM) and Angelina Ballerina(TM).

Additionally, all month long Sprout is hosting the "Sprouterrific Halloween Costume Contest.” Parents can upload a photo of their child dressed in his or her latest homemade costume creation – maybe even featuring a favorite Sprout character – at SproutOnline.com. Every morning, Monday through Friday, through October 31, a new child will be chosen to receive a Sprout gift basket and his or her photo will be shown live during The Sunny Side Up Show (between 11:30 a.m. and noon ET). Weekday winners are chosen based upon creativity and originality. The contest is open to preschoolers only.
