THE ANGELS®, most well-known as the Girl Group with the #1 million-selling gold record “My Boyfriend’s Back,” will release their new album, Love, The Angels, on November 17, 2008 on Angel Sound Records. The original single “It Was You” will be available as a free download from their Web site, www.TheAngelsOnline.com , for 24 hours beginning at 12:01am, November 17, 2008.
THE ANGELS® ---Barbara “Bibs” Brown, Peggy Santiglia Davison and Jiggs Sirico--- recorded "Love, The Angels" with Sirico’s daughter, Karalyn Hugo, who will replace Brown in live performances.
"Love, The Angels" will be available for sale online and in select stores nationwide, as well as downloads on iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody, Napster and www.TheAngelsOnline.com.
The album features many new songs written by the group as well as modern remakes of classics “‘Til,” “My Boyfriend’s Back,” and “Beggin’”--- which was first recorded by The Four Seasons and is currently featured in the hit Tony-winning Broadway show Jersey Boys.
Four Seasons’ member and songwriter Bob Gaudio originally co-wrote “Beggin’” with Angel Peggy Santiglia Davison.
THE ANGELS® charted with such additional hits as “I Adore Him,” “’Til,” “Wow Wow Wee,” “Cry Baby Cry,” and “Thank You and Goodnight” and the group was recently inducted into The Vocal Group Hall of Fame.
