“People believe because we are from the Bay we’re all Hyphy. We grew up in that era but that’s not what we’re about. Our music is a mixture of Hyphy, West Coast, East Coast and Dirty South. We do it all and The Wake It Up Tour will urge audiences not to sleep on us,” says Scoot.
With the Ambassador of the Bay, E-40 side-by-side on stage, fans can get ready and set to get their monies worth.
“Expect me to perform old school vintage E-40 songs and new school current E-40 songs, expect leadership crowed participation , lots of energy, excitement and stage presence. One thing my momma always told me was where ever I go and what ever I do, show up and show out, Hello!,” says E-40.
Dem HoodStarz sophomore album, Black Friday, is scheduled to drop November 21, 2008, but their first single, “Code of the Streets,” is already receiving spins in several markets. There second release, “I Got A Problem," featuring Gucci Man, is gaining nods around the country as well.
Although Dem Hoodstarz hail from the Bay Area, they don’t hail to be all Hyphy. The two say they are all street and every time they grab a mic that’s what they represent.
"We got hot tracks they need to hear,” adds Band-Aide.
