Cooper Boone releases song to aid DKMS bone marrow donor center

Cooper Boone's self-titled debut album is out now (Green Rooster Records) and features a "voice has just enough grit to evoke John Mellencamp.” Included on the album is "One Song," the celebrated track Cooper wrote with Nashville's Mark D. Conklin for DKMS, the world’s largest bone marrow donor center.

“A good friend of mine has leukemia and I’m someone that likes to do whatever I can to contribute,” explains Boone.

Giving back is second nature for Boone. He has a doctorate in psychology and has counseled everyone from children afflicted with AIDS to individuals with drug-related issues.
