Luke Bryan had his very first official co-hosting gig back in 2007 when he covered the CMA Awards for ABC.com’s “LIVE CMA Awards Red Carpet” show (with Ashley Eicher). ABC.com has invited him back to co-host their coverage of the 2009 CMA Music Festival in Nashville, TN. Luke, along with Ashley Eicher, will co-host the online series titled “Around Town with Luke Bryan” which includes interviews with artists such as Trace Adkins, Martina McBride and Julianne Hough, as well as an inside look at the festival’s many events.
“Hosting the CMA Music Festival coverage for ABC.com with Ashley is something I truly enjoy doing,” says Bryan. “I think I have grown so much since the first year we hosted together just by watching and learning from her. It’s such a great experience for me to be a part of this and be able to let the fans see all the things that go on during CMA Music Festival week. Country artists truly appreciate every single person who supports what we do and this is a way that I can help give back to both those who attend and those who were not able to be here.”
Log on to www.ABC.com beginning today to catch the five-part series which leads up to ABC's CMA Music Festival: Country's Night to Rock Special, airing August 31 (8:00-11:00 PM/ET).
Luke is set to release his sophomore Capitol Records Nashville album, Doin’ My Thing, October 6. The follow-up to his # 2 debut album, I’ll Stay Me, that produced the hit singles “All My Friends Say” and “Country Man” is being driven by Bryan’s current power ballad “Do I” which is steadily climbing the country charts.
