Songsalive! Los Angeles Showcase at HallenbecksFeaturing talented songwriters from around the globe, the Songsalive! Showcases are the best industry secret, a great happening all around the world. Songsalive! Showcases are a very cozy, intimate and acoustic environment where media and music industry representatives often drop by to check out the latest talent. Showcase your music and support our Songsalive! national and international live events and showcases presenting songwriters and artists of original music. Showcases are conducted globally.

ABOUT THE SHOWCASE:
The Songsalive! Los Angeles Showcase features a new venue, a new date, and a new format! Songsalive returns to Hallenbeck's after a couple of years. Hallenbeck's is an well known venue for acoustic Los Angeles Songwriters and performers - they have a small stage with a great sound system, great food and drinks, it is family friendly too, with free parking on the street.

ARTISTS:
We have three performers who will be doing sets in two rounds - so nice you hear them all twice! And we'll have a short intermission in the middle for food, stretching, and conversation.

FEATURING:

Sharif
After spending months writing songs with hitmakers like Desmond Child, Sharif returned to the studio with over 50 songs. Working with his producers and other musicians, Sharif was able to narrow it down and record 14 new tracks for his 3rd record, "Kisses and Lies." Amazing musicians like Rhett Miller (Old 97's), Tim Bradshaw (John Mayer) and Jon Graboff (Ryan Adams) all stopped by the studio to contribute to the record. Zachary Provost
Grammy-winning producer David Foster places Zachary Provost at the top of his list of talented musicians, saying "the depth of his musicianship is endless and his great songwriting, arranging and production skills make him a triple threat." In addition to recording and performing regularly throughout world and a 5-year stint as Josh Groban's musical director, Zachary has also performed alongside Elton John, Carlos Santana, Quincy Jones and Willie Nelson among many others. Lisa Nemzo
Lisa Nemzo is considered to be in the vanguard of the new generation of female artists who not only sing but have taken the time to master their instrument and the craft of songwriting. Nemzo's known for her show stopping, over-the-neck-harmonic solos and unique 12 string Baritone & Adamas, Rickenbacker guitars. She's been compared to Heart, Paula Cole, Sarah McLaughlin, Howie Day 'live'. Lisa’s title track Restless Soul on the compilation Fast Folk Vol 8, from the CD "Restless Soul". was chosen for the Smithsonian Institute for Folk Music of the 90‚s.

From June 2006 to June 2007, Lisa wrote for Friday Records Publishing Co. – a Los Angeles/Nashville based company for film, television, and artist's projects. Signed to Polygram/Metronome, in Germany, Netherlands, Japan, and Australia, her songs were featured on video and European Television. Her catalog of charted songs include: Walking on Ice, Hard For a Girl Like Me, I Don’t Wanna’ Fool With Love, Hot Summer Nights (a hit song for Harvey Mason and Lee Ritenour"Stone Mason"), and Short Cut (single on Here's to Love and Greatest Hits by Tanya Tucker). She sang a duet-Feel The Night (duet from The Karate Kid with Baxter Robertson), Stayin’ With It (duet with Rick Roberts of Firefall). Nemzo toured with Bonnie Raitt, Heart, Ray Charles, Joe Cocker, Christopher Cross, Hall and Oates and many other artists. NEWS FLASH! Lisa's new CD/ 2 record vinyl set is available May 4th, 2009 on her new label DREAM WILD RECORDS an Independent Record Company and the CD release is coming in September 2009.
